With the help of the Louisiana tourism industry we have doing our own part to fuel our American Idol this season. Each week we send delicious Louisiana cuisine to Los Angeles to nourish Westlake native Joshua Ledet before his weekly performance.  If you haven’t heard him yet, check out his rendition of Percy Sledge’s When a Man Loves a Woman.

Joshua has received everything from oysters to bread pudding and we think this little taste of home has pushed him through his tough competition. Joshua tweeted me a few weeks ago thanking me for the food and I have visited with his mom and brother and both thanked the industry and me for our support.

He has made it to the top six but we want him to make to the finale! This week he is receiving one of Louisiana’s best dishes—jambalaya! We are cheering for Joshua through the end.
