I grew up in Fort Walton Beach, FL. In 1985 I attended Trinity University in San Antonio, TX, where I majored in Art History and English. In 1988 I continued my studies in Vienna, Austria, followed by graduate classes at Tulane University, a school I chose because it was close to my grandmothers, who both lived in New Orleans. In 1991 I went to work for The Rodrigue Gallery of New Orleans and later Rodrigue Studio in Carmel, CA. George Rodrigue and I married in 1997 and lived for four years in Lafayette, LA before moving in 2001 to New Orleans and Carmel. I remain involved in Rodrigue Gallery operations and the George Rodrigue Foundation of the Arts; I work on publishing projects and exhibitions as needed; I frequently lecture about George's art; and I devote considerable time to this blog, part of an extensive archival project, a daunting task that probably will take me the rest of my life. Although I grew up in the Florida Panhandle and spend several months each year in central California, it is New Orleans that I call home. On any given day, there is nothing that I would rather do than spend time with my family.
